Build. Sustainable. Communities.
Nomad doesn’t build trails. Nomad builds communities.
Transforming communities.
Nomad came to us looking for help to take the next step in their business. When they started their trail building business in 2016, they began on a shoe string budget with big dreams and a piece of free design software to cobble out a makeshift logo.
They were certainly showing their professionalism in their builds - immaculate trail designs that took into account the natural geography of the area, soil types, rock formations, and how they could build the best quality trails with the most environmentally sustainable approach.
They had reached a point in business where they needed a professional built brand and marketing presence to mirror the the professional reputation they had begun to garner in the industry.

True to the roots…
The logo is based off the original clip-art logo that Nomad first created themselves. We loved the idea of hanging onto the humble beginnings of the brand. We even developed a separate “tree mark” icon set for brand use and social media icons.
For the main logo typeface, we chose a playful geometric sans-serif font. The very nature of trail building is precise math and geometry and loved the subtle creative undertones of using a font like this.

Vibrance & Warmth
As we began searching for color inspiration, naturally, our research led us to photos of nomadic peoples. As we sorted through page after page of photos, we realized that our preconceived notions were being shattered left and right. We expected to see drab, dull clothing….
Instead, we saw vibrant blues, purples, and yellows - greens, reds, and oranges living in harmony.
We settled on a mix of those vibrant nomadic colors toned down just a bit towards the earthy side, using the original Nomad sea-foam green, which we playfully renamed “Send It Sea-Foam” (it’s a mountain biking thing).

First Impressions
We used the new brand architecture to create sales collateral materials for Nomad. Any time you’re answering a big RFP, first impressions count for a lot.
We developed a sleek presentation package including business cards, a presentation folder, and a 12 page booklet.
Additionally, we developed a custom slide deck that can be custom tailored to each project by their team and either printed and included in the folder, or sent to the client digitally.
Finally, we developed a full website for Nomad with original photography, copywriting, and video.
